If you missed the chance to see a selection of Rhys' work at the "From the Woods" exhibition over easter, why not come along to the "Contemporary Craft Festival" held at Mill Marsh Park, Bovey Tracey on the 15th - 17th of June. The festival brings together 165 of the UK's best designer-makers over a three day celebration of contemporary craft. Following on from last years successful event Rhys will be exhibiting work in the "From the woods" exhibition at Westonbirt - The National Arboretum, Tetbury between the 5th - 10th of April. The exhibition will be held in the Great Oak Hall and will feature work from a variety of artists and furniture makers with a strong emphasis on sustainable materials. RG Fine Furniture is pleased to announce that it is now working in collaboration with "It Woodwork". It Woodwork (http://www.itwoodwork.co.uk) is a Bristol based company specialising in bespoke handmade kitchens and fitted wardrobes. The company has a strong environmental policy and uses 100% sustainable timber. As part of that environmental philosophy it works in partnership with The Woodland Trust to help replant the UK's native woodland.

Rhys found out today that RG Fine Furniture has been selected to exhibit a varity of commissioned pieces at this years 'Contemporary Craft Festival' in Bovey Tracey 15 -17th June. Becoming a member of "Bristol Creative's" (http://www.bristolcreatives.co.uk) an artist led networking and marketing initiative originally set up by the Arts Council and sponsored by Bristol City Council, has recently opened new opportunities for Rhys to display his work.

Rhys has just been awarded his first ecclesiastical commission. The commission, a memorial book display case in English oak, is for the parish church of St. Mary's in Newent, Gloucestershire (http://www.stmarysnewent.org).

There is a second chance to see Rhys' work as the "Inspired" exhibition comes to the Hayloft Gallery at the Ashton Court Visitors Centre, Ashton Court Estate, Bristol. BS41 9JN. Rhys has been busy meeting with a number of prospective clients following positive feedback and inspiring comments from visitors and fellow exhibitors at his first exhibition in Westonbirt. He is now planning for his next exhibition in July as well as under taking the commission of few special projects.

Rhys has taken a day off from furniture design today to help his brother's Graphic Design company (http://www.mono-studio.co.uk) to build a display stand on behalf of the BBC's Doomsday Reloaded project.

Why not view Rhys' work first hand by visiting the exhibition of Furniture Markers held at The Great Oak Hall, Westonbirt - The National Arboretum, Tetbury. GL8 8QS. The exhibition is open: May 26th - May 31st. For further information regarding this event please check out the website: http://www.fowa.org.uk. Visitors will be able to view the Wenge Bench and his most recent project of a Console Table in Ripple Sycamore and American Black Walnut.

After a successful completion of a commissioned Monk Chest in New Forest Oak and a Telephone Table in Steamed Pear. Rhys has begun work on a set of Garden Furniture consisting of a Table and two Benches to seat 6/8 in English Oak.

Congratulations to Marc Fish who has recently been awarded the 'Claxton Stevens Award' for best 'Guild Mark' issued last year by the Worshipful Company of Furniture Makers. Fourteen of UK's best pieces of bespoke furniture were judged.
