Sycamore and glass
A low coffee table made using slices through a sycamore tree removed from the garden of a vicarage in the small market town I grew up in. The table top appears almost to float above the ground on the glass legs giving the table a feeling of lightness. The slices through the tree used for the top show the history of its life, age and are the finger prints of nature, unique to the tree and the conditions in which it grew responding mysteriously to the sun and wind and seasons.
